Community
We invest back into the communities that built us
Social Responsiveness is one of KAMCCU's seven core values — not a marketing line. Here is what it looks like in practice.
Our commitment
Four ways KAMCCU gives back
Member education, every two weeks
Our Education Committee runs bi-weekly member education sessions — practical teaching on saving, borrowing wisely and managing money, delivered by members for members.
Financial literacy for the community
From the Kiddie account that teaches children the savings habit to counseling from credit union experts, we treat financial education as a service the whole community deserves.
Dividends that stay local
KAMCCU has no outside shareholders. Surplus returns to members as dividends and interest — money earned in the community stays in the community and is reinvested in it.
Caring for one another
A credit union exists to create opportunity for members to care for one another and to express concern for the community — it is one of the founding aims of the movement we belong to.
Programme stories are on the way
We are documenting KAMCCU's community programmes and will publish the stories — with photos and outcomes — here shortly. If you have benefited from a KAMCCU programme and want to share your story, we would love to hear from you.

Your savings build your community
Every cedi saved at KAMCCU works for members and neighbours — not distant shareholders.
