The credit union concept is a global movement — societies link up from the national level to the continental and then to the global. KAMCCU stands in that chain.
Affiliation chain
CUA is the apex body for credit unions in Ghana. It promotes their development through services provided by its personnel and programs run by the movement. Its eleven regional branches — known as "chapters" — coordinate with primary societies like KAMCCU across the country. KAMCCU was founded in 1972 with CUA staff as its nucleus, so our bond with the apex body runs deeper than affiliation.
Visit websiteCUA is affiliated with ACCOSCA, the continental confederation that unites national credit union associations across Africa — championing co-operative finance, capacity building and advocacy for savings and credit co-operatives on the continent. KAMCCU Board Chairman Emmanuel Oduro Darko serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for ACCOSCA.
